About the event

RUNdefined Training Series starts Saturday April 22nd and will run 4 weeks!

The series is for all runners - beginner, intermediate, advanced - adjustments will be made accordingly, but you should be able to run or walk, comfortably, 2-4 miles, and should be free from any injuries or medical conditions that may affect your ability to exercise safely.

Training Overview: The 4 week training schedule includes 3 - 4 days of running per week.  There will be short easy runs, an interval run (modifications given for beginners) and one long run (4th run provided for advance runners only). You may also want to consider, if you are comfortable, building in cross training, flexibility/mobility training or strength training activities into your week to help balance out your training and prevent injuries with overuse of running repetitive motions. Each week you will be guided through a combination of training styles to gradually build up your strength, speed and endurance as you work towards your running goal(s).

Program Investment:

- 4 week run training program delivered directly to your inbox (includes 2-4 runs (There will be an optional in person live training run/bodyweight workout with me 1X per week -Day/Time TBD - if you can not make the day/time the 3rd run will be sent to you with your training program)).

- OPTIONAL: Live In Person Training Session (45 minutes)

Day: TBD (either Weekday Evening after 5pm or Saturday morning 6:30am  - will go with majority poll of participants)

Time: TBD

Location: Danvers, MA

- A private Facebook group to keep you motivated and provide the support you need to reach your run goal(s)

- A RUNdefined Tank Top

- 4 week Investment $180 *COUPON AVAILABLE FOR $10 off if you commit by Friday 4/1*

May is Celiac Disease Awareness Month! If you didn't know, my daughter Kaleigh was diagnosed a year ago with Celiac Disease. Celiac Disease is an autoimmune disorder that causes damage to the small intestine with the ingestion of gluten (wheat, barley, rye). My daughter stopped growing at the age of 9 during her physical which led us to Boston Children's Hospital, starting with Endocrinology, as her bone graph charts had her growing at the age of a 6.9 year old. After further testing, and an endoscopy with Gastroenterology, we found out that she indeed had Celiac Disease. There is no cure for Celiac Disease, but a strict gluten free diet can help manage the condition. It was a challenge to start, but things eventually got easier once we figured out foods and brands that she liked. Now, the challenges we face are cross contamination, products that contain wheat that are not food related, and the fact that she just can't eat what the other kids are eating and sometimes feels left out. A year in we have come a long way, but hopefully someday there will be a cure to help those with Celiac Disease, especially with an accidental ingestion of gluten through cross-contamination! Step Beyond Celiac is a non profit foundation that hosts a race to raise money & awareness to help find a cure for Celiac Disease. This race is VIRTUAL and can be done anytime, anywhere during May! If you choose to register for the race, I will plan for us to run together on the Danvers Rail Trail as the final run of your training program (if local). You will get a team race shirt from me as a Thank You for raising awareness and fundraising for this disease! To register for this race you can click on this link (or copy & paste it into your browser): Step Beyond Celiac 2023 (Join Team Kaleigh's Supporters!)

The RUNdefined Training series is built to adapt to your experience level, but it’s also flexible to your needs and abilities to help maximize your efforts through speed, endurance and recovery. You can train & participate in this race from anywhere, so are you ready to RUNdefined?

Let’s do this.
